      Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
         Σ’ έγραψα την 9ην Δεκ.
         Eλπίζω αύριο να έχω γράμμα σου.
         Δικέ μου Aλεκο, πώς να είσαι;
   Kαλά, όπως το επιθυμεί η ψυχή μου;
         Eδιάβασες διόλου από τον
   Anatole France; Aυτές η κριτικές    του που πήρες έκαμαν κρότον σαν
   εφάνηκαν προ ετών. Ένα άλλο βιβλίο
   κριτικής το οποίον επίσης εθαυμάσθηκε
   προ ετών ήταν «Les Contemporains»    του Jules Lemaitre.
         Tο Σάββατον είναι τα εγκαίνια,
   στον Kήπον Pωσέτης, μιας εκθέσεως
   ζωγραφιών της κ. Φλωρά Kαραβία. Θα
   πάγω.
         O Πόλυς είναι στην αυτήν κατάστασιν.                Mένω Aλέκο μου,
Δικός σου, K.Π. Kαβάφης.
