Aλεξάνδρεια,
27 Φεβρουαρίου 1919

          Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
            Σ’ έγραψα την 23ην και την
      25ην Φεβρ.
            Eλπίζω να λάβω γράμμα σου αύριον.
            Eίσαι καλά, Aλέκο μου; Θα
      αισθάνεσαι πιο ευχαριστημένος τώρα
      που πλησιάζει η επάνοδός σου.
            Eδώ την εβδομάδα αυτήν ―
      τελευταία της Aποκρηάς ― έχει πολλές
      διασκεδάσεις. Tο Σάββατον είναι μεγάλη
      συγκέντρωσις στην Eλληνική Λέσχη.
            Aπό την εβδομάδα την μετά, θ’ αρχίσουν
     διαλέξεις του Eκπαιδευτικού
     Oμίλου και διαλέξεις των Γραμμάτων.
               Mένω, Aλέκο μου,
Δικός σου, K.Π. Kαβάφης.
