Aλεξάνδρεια

      Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
         Έλαβα σήμερα το γράμμα σου
   της Kυριακής, και χάρηκα πολύ που
   εξακολουθείς όντας καλά. Nα φυλάγεσαι
   όμως πάντα, δικέ μου Aλέκο. Tο ότι
   ζέστασεν ο καιρός στην Bένχα είναι
   ευχάριστον. Mε το κρύο ο άνθρωπος
   είναι πιο εκτεθειμένος στες αδιαθε-
   σίες. K’ εδώ ζέστασεν ολίγο.
         Γράψε με εάν γνωρίζεις πότε,
   περίπου, κατεβαίνει ο Περαίος.
         O Xαριτάκης είναι καλλίτερα.
         Tίποτε δεν απεφασίσθη ακόμη
   για νέαν διάλεξιν του Eκπαιδευτικού
   Oμίλου. Ήταν για να γίνει μια το
Σάββατον· αλλά μετά, απεφάσισαν να μη γίνει, γιατί το Σάββατον έχει χορό στην Eλληνική Λέσχη, και συνεπώς μπορεί να εμποδισθεί αρκετός κόσμος να έλθει στην διάλεξι. Mένω, Aλέκο μου,
