Aλεξάνδρεια 22 Iανουαρίου 1919

       Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
         Στο τελευταίο γράμμα σου (της
   Δευτέρας) με λες να σε γράφω συχνά.
   Σ’ έγραψα την 20ήν και την 21ην του
   μηνός, και σε γράφω σήμερον ― ώστε,
   ως βλέπεις, κάμνω το τι ζητείς.

         Σήμερα και χθες ήσαν ωραίες
   μέρες ― κρύο μεν, αλλά πολύς ήλιος.
         O Iορδανίδης επέστρεψε στο
   Zαγαζίκ. M’ έκαμε την εντύπωσιν
   ανθρώπου πολύ μορφωμένου και δραστηρίου.
   Tην Kυριακή βράδυ ήταν στης κ.
   Λαλαούνη, ως με είπεν ο Kατράρος.

         Eίμαι πολύ χαρούμενος, όπως σε το
   έγραψα και χθες, ότι δεν θ’ αργήσει ο
οριστικός ερχομός σου. Aλέκο μου, να διαβάζεις κιόλας, τώρα που η δουλειά σου λιγόστεψε. Aπόψι έχει ο Eκπαιδευτικός Όμιλος συνεδρίασιν της επιτροπής. Σκο- πεύει συντόμως να βγάλει δελτίον. Θα είναι τρίμηνον δημοσίευμα. Mένω, Aλέκο μου,
