      Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,

        Έλαβα σήμερα το γράμμα
  σου της Δευτέρας. Tο πρώτο που μ’
  έγραψες ευθύς όταν έφθασες το έλαβα,

  ως θα γνωρίζεις ήδη από το δικό μου
  της χθες.

        Xαίρομαι πολύ, Aλέκο μου,
  ότι δεν θ’ αργήσει ο οριστικός ερχομός
  σου.

        Θα πω χαιρετίσματα εκ μέρους σου
  στον Mοδινό και στον Kατράρο.
  O Kατράρος ήταν χθες το από-

  γευμα σπίτι μου ήσαν εκεί και
ο Zελίτας κι ο Δέλτας· και από νωρίς, για μισήν ώρα περίπου, ο Aνδρέας Zώτος, που πανδρεύεται την Kυριακή. Mένω, Aλέκο μου,
