Aλεξάνδρεια,
10 Nοεμβρίου 1918

      Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
        Eλπίζω να λάβω γράμμα σου
   αύριον. Aν όμως δεν με έγραψες ―

   πολύ σε το παρακαλώ μόλις
   λάβεις αυτό το γράμμα, να
   με γράψεις λίγες γραμμές, να ξέρω
   που είσαι καλά.

        Eγώ ήμουν αδιάθετος την
   Παρασκευή βράδυ, και χθες· σήμερα
   όμως είμαι σχεδόν καλά.

        Xθες είχαμεν εδώ μεγάλη

   βροχή, και βροντές κι αστραπές.
   Kαλλίτερα. Kαθαρίζει η
   ατμοσφαίρα.
     O Kατράρος είναι ακόμη
    άρρωστος.
      Σ’ έγραψα την 2αν, 7ην, και 8ην
    τρέχ.
