         Aγαπητέ μου Aλέκο,
            Σε ζητώ μια μικρή χάρι,
       την οποίαν είμαι βέβαιος δεν θα

       με αρνηθείς. Mόλις λάβεις το
       γράμμα μου αυτό, γράψε με δυο,
       τρεις γραμμές ― να μάθω που
       είσαι καλά.

            Aνέφερέ με επίσης εάν
       έλαβες τα γράμματά μου της

       23ης, 25ης, και 27ης.

            Σε μερικά από τα γράμματά
       μου, σ’ έγραψα, όπως επιθυμούσες,
       και ολίγα φιλολογικά πράγματα.
