CONTENT AND STRUCTURE AREA
Printed poetry collection by Cavafy, comprising bound broadsheets, printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house. It contains 28 poems and consists of 64 pages; inserted sheet with the poem titles in two columns and in chronological order. Numbering at top right of the recto of each sheet, rather than on each page. Some of the numbers have been corrected by hand. The poems are printed on different dates during the 1926-1929 period, and with fonts of various sizes. In one of the poems (“To Pleasure”, sheet 20) there is a handwritten addition in the third verse, while the fourth one has been crossed out. Five copies. One of them was donated to the Center for Neo-Hellenic Studies by the journalist Giannis Marinos, while it had originally been given by Cavafy to Dimitrios Charitatos (see letter in an envelope included in the copy). The inserted sheet of this copy contains the titles of three poems, handwritten.
