Collection of poems by Cavafy (Γ9), comprising 71 printed broadsheets which contain 60 poems. The collection is enclosed in two double-sheets. The printed title “C. P. Cavafy Poems. Alexandria 1919-1929” on the first double-sheet acting as cover (the first date has been corrected from 1916 to 1919, and the second is handwritten and corrected to 1929 by the poet). A second double-sheet follows, the first page of which serves as the title page; the second page is blank; the last two pages include the table of contents, arranged chronologically (1919-1929). All broadsheets mention the printer’s name and, in some cases, additional information regarding the year in which they were first printed (1924-1929). The poems are numbered (2-60) in print at top right, their numbering occasionally corrected by Cavafy. Handwritten emendations in some of the verses (pp. 39, 40, 43, 46).
