Typewritten French translations of poems by Cavafy, on one side of twelve sheets (“J’ai tellement Fixé…”, “Satrapie” etc.). The sheets are placed inside a double sheet notepaper. On the first page of the notepaper, the title and handwritten dedication by Aison Kyriacopoulo, Cavafy’s translator, to the poet. On the third page, the penultimate of the document, the titles of the translated poems, by way of an index. The poems contained (a total of 11) are fewer than the poems in the index (12). Handwritten corrections on the typewritten text. The title “But Wise Men Apprehend What Is Imminent”, the quote before the poem and the index are all written in Greek.
