Reproduction (perhaps serigraphy) of a portrait of Cavafy at a young age. The original sketch appears to have been made in Fine-tip pen and signed by its creator, Vasilis Photiadis (“V.P.”). The poet is depicted in three-quarter view, looking slightly to the left. Blank verso. The portrait is placed inside a heavily oxidised bifolio marked “1923”, handwritten by the poet. It was used as the frontispiece of the 1947 French edition of Cavafy’s poems.
