Typewritten text by Raymond Torcy on the recto of five sheets, entitled “Aristobule”. The first part of the text describes the story of Aristobulus, while the second provides information on Cavafy and his work, also including a French translation of the poem “Aristobulus” by G. A. Papoutsakis. Reference to the journal La Semaine égyptienne (issue dedicated to Cavafy, 1929). Handwritten cancellations and emendations in parts of the text by Cavafy himself, as well as other notes in pencil on most sheets. Authorial emendations and signature in ink at the end of the text. The sheets are numbered (2-5).
