Poetry collection by Cavafy (Γ8). The title “C. P. Cavafy’s Poems (1916-1918)” on the cover. The collection consists of bound printed broadsheets and contains twenty-eight poems. The verso of all broadsheets is blank. The first poem (“Since Nine”) is not numbered. The rest are sequentially numbered (“2” to “30”), in print or by hand, occasionally corrected by the poet. Handwriten notes by Cavafy in the poem “To Pleasure”. Table of contents as well as inserted sheet with the poem titles in two columns and in chronological order. The broadsheets were printed at the Kasimatis & Ionas printing house (Alexandria), in the period 1926-1929, on papers of various qualites and with fonts of various sizes.
