Nikos Hayer-Boufidis (1899-1950) was a graduate of the Lycée Français of Cairo and then settled in Athens (Greece) to work for the National Bank of Greece. He published in various journals (including Grammata and Alexandrini Techni). He wrote poetry and prose; his work has been influenced by Cavafy. He took part in the Greek Resistance and was prosecuted for his political ideals during the civil war. In addition to his real name, he also used the pseudonym Aris Isandros.
