Christodoulos S. Christodoulidis was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1902. In 1924 the Communist Party of Greece (of which he was a member, using the pseudonym “Alexis”), helped him move to Moscow where he studied Political Science. He then settled in Greece but returned to the Soviet Union and became a party official. He was executed during the period of the Great Purge (1938); his name was cleared in 1956.
